This is the best street taco place I have been to in Houston and it's open 24 hours, so I will definitely be coming back again! My friend and I got the chicken and fajita tacos and they were delicious. The chicken was plain and dry compared to the fajita, so I would just recommend the fajita. The tacos also come with a side of beans, onions, and peppers, which were an excellent addition to eat with the tacos. Be prepared to pull out some Spanish whether it's from your brain or Google Translate because most of the workers will not know English. They understood my broken Spanish, so just knowing the key words regarding the ingredients will go a long way. They also only take payments in cash so bring some with you. Also, be careful with the sauce bags since I've had it explode on me while trying to get them on my tacos, but they do add an extra kick of spice to elevate the flavors overall. It is parked by a small gas station so parking may be difficult to find, but I did not have problems. The truck is not dirty or too loud either so it won't be a bother while waiting for your food. The food came out in a reasonable time since there were only about 3 people making all the orders.

Me and my family have Borrego probably like 1-2x/wk IT IS SOOOOO GOOD! Depending on the time you go though, you might have to wait a while to order and receive your food. That just goes to show how good it is though. Their food is worth any kind of waiting time. My family came from out of town and specifically requested to eat tacos from borrego because it's food they remember when they came to houston FIVE YEARS AGO!

This is my favorite taco truck in Houston. Even though this place is across town for me I find myself making the drive here often due to my intense cravings for their tacos. What makes their tacos so good is the tortillas. They're so buttery and soft; I end up finishing a taco within seconds. The salsa and beans are solid as well. Flour taco prices have risen to $2.75 each but I still think they're worth it! Be sure to bring cash!

One of my favorite taco trucks that opens 24 hours! It's near the UH campus and a very convenient location. Its parked right next to a gas station so there's room for parking. The truck itself isn't too dirty or loud. The lady was nice and welcoming, she repeated our order back to make sure she got everything correct. It only took around 5 minutes to receive our food. The tortilla was really crispy, the garnish wasn't too overpowering. The taco itself wasn't too greasy and the beef had all the right flavors and texture. The sauce we got with the taco also adds that extra kick. The beans were also really savory. I honestly can't think of a flaw this place has as I've been here 3 time already and will keep coming back! The price keeps rising by 25 cents as it used to be $2 now it is $2.75.

Solid four stars. Not the greatest. Not the worst but I would say very middle of the road. The people that work here are kind of rude and only speak Spanish lol. If you ask then a question it's kind of like asking them to perform open heart surgery. Unreal lol. Didn't know tacos were this hard Food: we got fajita a deshabrada which were pretty good. The price is 1.50 each so that's def a value. The flavor was lacking. Didn't taste lien they put much season. They kind of remind me of tacos Aracely in northside but i tacos Aracely is much better. The reason I give them four stars is because they are open late, the food is decent, the price is pretty cheap. I am sure there are much better options off edge Brook but I'm glad I checked this spot off my list. I would definitely go back. Oh and they are actually very quick!

Great tacos and great flavor! The only not so great part was the service. If you do not speak Spanish the lady taking orders will be very short and rude. It's not a language barrier because she spoke perfect English with one patron and refused with me. Mi dinero es verde chica!!!! Anyways.... I've been to this bus since it was green or blue and I know to always get the large quesadilla because that's just wassup. I ordered saudero meat and a large Jamaica agua fresca. The meat was very seasoned and flavorful. Be prepared for a "greasy" quesadillas with lots of juices. Not something dry at all. There is plenty of cheese and juices to make this some very delicious slop. It didn't take long to get the order and boy was that shit hot af when I got it. I couldn't want to dig in so I sat in my car and busted this shorty down. Needless to say the only bad part of this experience was the interaction at the window. Everyone in Houston know dis the spot before and after the club. That and Del Sol. Food 10/10

True Houstonians from the south side know the red taco truck is one of the many spots off Edgebrook to get your late night mini taco fix. Just had a long night drinking or looking to eating out after hours? They've got the remedy. The asada is marinated well and they always make sure to throw in the must-haves: cilantro, onion, lime, and salsa verde. $2 a taco is a little high since you've got to order each taco separate but it still hits. I think their charro beans used to be free but now they charge $1/order due to food cost increase. Free or not they are still delicious. There is usually a long line but it's not that bad since you can wait in your car or enjoy the weather standing outside. And also a nice upside is that they have a second truck located off South Shaver, that line is usually shorter than the original truck off Edgebrook. They are open 24/7, serving it up hot and fresh. Check them out!
